This Payment Policy outlines how payments, refunds, and cancellations are handled on HourlyMeet.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By using our platform as a client or consultant, you agree to the terms described below.

1. Payment Processing

All payments on HourlyMeet.com are securely processed through third-party payment gateways. We do not store sensitive financial information such as credit card numbers.

Professionals (consultants) must ensure that their withdrawal methods are properly set up and verified before requesting payouts.

We are not liable for delays or failures in payout processing caused by third-party providers, but we will make every effort to resolve any such issues promptly.

2. Service Fee

10% or minimum $3 USD service fee is applied to each transaction and clearly displayed at the time of:

  • Booking an appointment (for clients)
  • Withdrawing earnings (for consultants)

This fee helps cover operational costs, payment gateway fees, and platform maintenance. The service fee is subject to change at any time without prior notice. Any change will be reflected during the booking and withdrawal processes.

3. Appointment Cancellations and Refunds

a. Cancellations Before Meeting Start Time

  • Client Cancellation: If a client cancels before the scheduled meeting starts, the full payment (excluding the service fee) is automatically refunded.
  • Consultant Cancellation: If a consultant cancels, the client receives a full refund (including the service fee) automatically.

b. After Meeting Time Has Started

If the meeting time has started or passed, automatic refunds are no longer available. Instead:

  • The client may request a refund from the consultant.
  • If the consultant approves, the refund (excluding service fee) will be processed automatically.
  • If the consultant rejects the refund request, the client has two options:
    • Release the payment to the consultant
    • Request refund again

This request-and-response cycle can continue indefinitely until one party agrees to release or refund the payment.

Note: We do not act as a legal arbitrator and cannot determine who is right in a dispute. The final decision lies with the users involved.

c. One-Week Rule (Non-Response)

If either party does not respond to a payment release or refund request within 7 calendar days, the request will be automatically accepted in favor of the party who made the request.

4. Consultant Earnings and Withdrawal

Consultants can request to withdraw their earnings 7 days after the appointment is completed. This delay accounts for:

  • Refund eligibility windows
  • Processing delays with our payment gateway and bank systems
  • Platform review for fraud or abuse

Withdrawals can only be made if no dispute or refund request is active for that appointment.

Please ensure your payment method is properly configured. Failed withdrawals due to incorrect banking or payout details may cause additional delays or fees.

5. Disputes and Responsibility

HourlyMeet.com facilitates secure communication and transactions between users but does not guarantee the quality of service or the outcome of appointments.
We do not resolve disputes or verify whether a session was successful, productive, or even completed. We use third party video conversation platforms like Google Meet, Zoom etc. that we neither track nor use to justify the outcome.

If a party abuses the refund process or system, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate their account without notice.

6. Payout Liability and Platform Risk

Payouts are handled by third-party processors. If our merchant or payment account becomes blocked, frozen, or otherwise restricted, we may be temporarily unable to disburse payouts to consultants and clients.
While we are not liable for third-party failures, we are committed to resolving such situations as quickly and fairly as possible.

7. Currency and Conversion

All payments are processed in USD by default. If you use a different currency, your bank or payment provider may charge additional conversion or processing fees. We are not responsible for these charges.

8. Taxes and Compliance

Each user is responsible for understanding and complying with their local tax laws. HourlyMeet.com does not withhold or report taxes on your behalf unless required by law.

We may request tax-related documents such as W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US) for compliance with local or international regulations.

9. Policy Updates

This Payment Policy may be updated at any time without prior notice. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the revised policy.
